Thorough Testing

Every donor is thoroughly evaluated using medical and social history assessment, medical records, blood tests, culture results, physical examinations and autopsy reports (when performed). Extensive tests for infectious diseases are performed on all donors recovered by Community Tissue Services. Community Tissue Services’ in-house medical doctors’ reviews all donor information, and if found acceptable the tissue is released for processing.

Processed for Quality

All musculoskeletal and skin tissue grafts recovered by our tissue centers and recovery partners across the United States are processed in Kettering, OH and then returned to the centers for distribution. Strict processing procedures are performed by Community Tissue Services to ensure quality and safe tissue grafts for transplantation.

Community Tissue Services complies with guidelines and regulations from the American Association of Tissue Banks, the Food and Drug Administration and many other state health departments. Because Community Tissue Services has earned the reputation as one of the leaders in processing of human tissue grafts for transplantation, several outside tissue banking organizations have contracted with Community Tissue Services for processing services that lead to creating and supplying specialized grafts.
