Community Tissue Services of Indiana Appoints New Tissue Bank Director

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – Community Tissue Services (CTS), a department of the Community Blood Center headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, has named Blair Peebles the Director of Community Tissue Services in Indianapolis, Indiana.

In his new position with Community Tissue Services, Peebles will oversee all daily operations for Community Tissue Services in Indianapolis, IN. In addition, his responsibilities include personnel decisions, audits, and inspections. Peebles will be responsible for educating professionals and the public on all facets of tissue donation.

His career began at Central Indiana Regional Blood Center, as a tissue bank coordinator and was then promoted to a Tissue Bank Supervisor. When CTS acquired the Indiana location in 2000, Peebles was promoted to the Branch Supervisor, where he was instrumental in securing hospital contracts in Indiana and overseeing Hospital Development.

“I am excited that Blair accepted the director’s position. His knowledge and background in the tissue banking field will prove to be a valuable asset for Community Tissue Services,” stated Diane Wilson, Chief Operating Officer of the tissue bank.

Peebles earned his Associate Degree from Indiana Vocational Technical College, and Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Indiana State University. He received his certification as a tissue bank specialist in 1999 from the American Association of Tissue Banks.
