Community TissueServices of Northwest Ohio Appoints Acting Director of Operations

TOLEDO, OHIO - Community Tissue Services (CTS), a department of the Community Blood Center headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, is pleased to announce that Reginald Dawson has been named the Acting Director of the tissues bank's Northwest Ohio branch. The Toledo location, which was initially set up as a satellite of Dayton, is now its own branch. "I'm very excited and honored to be awarded this opportunity to serve as the acting director," said Dawson.

Dawson has been employed by CTS for five years. He began his career with the company as a per diem procurement technician in Dayton. After two years with the company, Dawson was promoted as a Coordinator responsible for working with donor families and the Dayton area hospitals in the procurement process. When CTS acquired the Northwest Ohio location in 2002, Dawson was appointed Branch Manager of the satellite office. He is a Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS).

"Reg's experience in tissue banking makes him a valuable asset to Community Tissue Services' team," stated Diane Wilson, Chief Operating Officer of the tissue bank. "Reg has done an excellent job educating the local hospitals on tissue donation. He has hired and trained an excellent staff, and we feel very fortunate to have such a great leader," Wilson added.
