Robert Boggs Named Director of Community Tissue Services-Portland

DAYTON, OH — (August 8, 2007)Community Tissue Services (CTS) recently promoted Robert Boggs to Director of Community Tissue Services in Portland, Oregon.  Boggs will oversee all daily operations of the CTS Portland branch and satellite locations in Medford and Boise, Idaho.  In addition, his responsibilities include personnel decisions, audits, inspections, and educating professionals and the public on all facets of tissue donation.

“I am excited Robert accepted the position of Branch Director of the CTS-Portland operation. His past experience and overall expertise will provide the leadership needed to manage a strong community based tissue program,” stated Diane Wilson, Chief Operating Officer of CTS.
           
Boggs has been serving as a CTS Recovery Coordinator since February, 2007.  His responsibilities included coordinating tissue recoveries, donor chart information, and case management as well as assisting and directing recovery staff training.  Before joining CTS, Boggs was a Chief Deputy Medical Examiner for Multnomah County for ten years where he managed, planned and supervised office activities including all aspects of the Multnomah County death investigation program. 

Boggs earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from University of Phoenix.  He also has an Associate of Applied Science in Mortuary Science from Mt. Hood Community College.  He is a licensed Washington State Funeral Director/Embalmer.  In addition he is a diplomat with the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators (ABMDI).
