Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services Partners with Rutledge Gallery
DAYTON, OH - Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services (CBC/CTS) has partnered with The Rutledge Gallery to provide blood donors a warm, comfortable environment in which to give blood. The Rutledge Gallery has placed artwork from local artists in the donor room to provide a pleasing environment to blood donors and to spotlight local artists. The art will be rotated every three months.
According to Dr. Judith Woll, CEO of CBC/CTS, “We are pleased that The Rutledge Gallery has partnered with Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services to display local artists’ artwork, which allows us to decorate the new donor room for our blood donors. Jeff Rutledge, Owner of The Rutledge Gallery, has graciously loaned CBC/CTS the artwork.”
The Rutledge Gallery was established in Dayton, Ohio in 1991. In addition to creating and exhibiting Rutledge’s own work, the gallery serves as a venue to showcase his sculpture and the work of other selected contemporary artists. The gallery houses an extensive framing facility and a studio where Rutledge fabricates his lively pieces. It functions as the base from which he extends operations throughout the country.
Mr. Rutledge received his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, with a concentration in sculpture, from Wright State University. He received a Master of Fine Arts Degree in sculpture from the University of Cincinnati. He also attended the Oxbow School of Art in Saugatuck, Michigan and Hobart Welding School in Troy, Ohio. His work has been displayed at exhibitions and gallery presentations throughout the United States.
