CTS recovers, processes and distributes human tissue for transplantation. Many organizations, such as Organ Procurement Organizations (OPO’s), do not process or distribute human allografts. They rely on the expertise of tissue processors such as CTS.

CTS works to develop relationships with these organ and tissue recovery organizations. CTS reimburses the organization for the costs incurred in the recovery process, and provides training and technical support to the recovery organizations.

The demand for tissue grafts is growing rapidly. As new surgery techniques are developed, and advances are made in medical treatment, surgeons and physicians are finding new uses for human tissue allografts. Through these relationships, additional recovered tissue is made available to CTS, so that CTS may continue to assure the availability of allografts for patient treatment.
