CTS-Portland is responsible for a wide geographic area, which includes Oregon, southwest Washington, and eastern Idaho. Within this area are 4.4 million people, 86 hospitals, and 2 transplant centers. CTS-Portland is responsible for the entire state of Oregon, the following counties in Idaho (Ada, Adams, Boise, Canyon, Gem, Payette, Valley and Washington), and the following counties in Washington: (Clark, Cowlitz, Skamania, and Walla Walla).

CTS-Portland works closely with the local medical community to provide quality products and services as well as provide in-service training. The Portland branch also works with the local organ and eye bank agencies to provide educational programs about donation to the public. CTS-Portland also provides bereavement support to donor families. The following bereavement services are available to donor families:

  • Emotional support
  • Peer Support Program - an opportunity to speak with other donor family members
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Referral to community support groups, or other appropriate resources
  • Literature on grief and bereavement
